Mr. Mudaliyar currently serves as an application enginner at Enerzinx India Pvt. Ltd. To this end, he is responsible for steady state and dynamic modeling of equivalent and detailed renewable energy projects.
Mr. Mudaliyar has over 4 years of research experience in the field of power system engineering. He is nearing the completion of his Ph.D. thesis submission in the department of electrical engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD), New Delhi. He has conducted research in the area of coordinated power and voltage control of microgrids. His research experience ranges from microgrid modeling to control prototyping to stability analysis of large- and small-scale power system with synchronous generators and renewable energy sources. He has carried out numerous steady-state and dynamic simulation studies using licensed software like MatLab, Simulink and Digsilent powerfactory. Mr. Mudaliyar has also gained wide experience in studies including modeling and real-time simulation, hardware-in-the-loop and power-hardware-in-the-loop using real-time-simulator OPAL-RT 5600. As a part of his research activities in IITD, he was involved with two collaborative projects of department of science and technology (DST), Govt. of India involving IITD, Cardiff University, UK, and The Energy Research Institute (TERI), Gurugram. He has published nine IEEE papers involving eight conferences and one IEEE transaction on Smart Grid. He also has an Indian Patent titled “Loop power flow controller for dc distribution system” filed on Nov. 2017 and another Indian Patent titled “DC synchronization based optimal regulator of photovoltaic-battery-diesel-generator hybrid system” is filed on Nov. 2018.
Prior to his masters, Mr. Mudaliyar was employed with Jodhpur Electricity Distribution Company as a Junior Engineer-1, where he primarily focused on operation and maintenance of 33/11 kV distribution substation. His primary responsibilities included feeder and substation maintenance, public grievances, revenue management, load shedding control and management and vigilance of power theft.
Mr. Mudaliyar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Anna University, Chennai and Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Silchar, Assam.
